Radon Mitigation Types: A Guide
Radon mitigation Radonbrønn montering is the process of reducing or eliminating radon gas from your home. Radon gas can cause lung cancer, and it’s important to take action if you live in a high-risk area. There are many different types of radon mitigation methods that you can use to reduce the risk in your home, but they all have their pros and cons.
How you should choose which method to do depending on the situation in your home (some methods may not be possible for certain homes): If your house is over a crawl space then you will want to look into suction mitigation because it works best with houses that have this type of foundation.
For houses that are built differently and don’t allow for easy access underneath them like suction mitigation requires then you can consider other forms such as sealing off any cracks or holes around pipes and electrical wiring before they reach the basement area where radon gas could potentially enter from outside air. Another option is to install a vent pipe under your home and let the gas escape through it as opposed to letting it collect inside of your house. This method can be used in most homes, but not all so you should check with an expert before deciding that this is what you want for your family’s home.
Another type of mitigation is called active soil depressurization (ASD), and this works best for those who live in single family homes. ASD involves installing a fan at the lowest point of your house which will draw air from outside through an intake pipe attached to the basement wall, where it then goes through a piping system that leads out to anywhere else on your property. The downside to using this method is that there must be enough room around your home’s foundation area so you can install all these pipes.
